It's been 35 years. And I'm finally back where I began. I had been thinking about making this trip for quite a while, and yes.. I am finally back. This used to be the location of Toa Payoh Hospital which for a few years had a maternity department. Na din those few years, I was one of the babies born here.
The hospital no longer exists (technically it was combined with Changi Hospital which is now Changi General Hospital) and the land it used to stand on now has an MRT and a road through it. I don't actually remember the exact spot, but it's in the area of Caldecott MRT and Toa Payoh Rise.
So today... I decide to take a trip back... to the place where I was born and the first flat I lived in as a child (Blk 43 Toa Payoh Lorong 5 - demolished and rebuilt) as well as some other places I remember as a child.
